How to Speed Up Your Morning Routine!

Updated: Jan 19, 2021

Would love an extra half an hour in bed? Of course, who wouldn’t? But sometimes it can be a little tricky to get through your morning routine in one piece and manage to leave the house on time every single day. So, how long should a morning routine take? You are talking somewhere between 30 – 90 minutes, but we are sure you can make it even quicker. To help, we have put together a couple of life hacks to help you combat the morning blues, minimise your routine and get out of the door sharpish.

Tip 1. Prepare Your Clothes the Night Before

It’s true – picking out what you are going to wear the night before really does shave off time in the morning. When you have just woken up, you are more likely to be less alert, a little slower and are less likely to make a quick decision after indulging in deep slumber, so we recommend organising your clothes and picking out what you are going to wear the next day the night before. Not only will this make your morning routine quicker, but you are also more likely to end up with a well-thought-out outfit, one that will fill you with confidence and prepare you for the day ahead. In the mornings, you won’t need to fuss about what you will be wearing, as you will have already thought ahead.

Tip 2. Invest in Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush

The Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush helps give your skin a deep cleanse and is a fantastic way to rejuvenate your skin after a good night’s sleep. It has been previously recommended that adults should concentrate on deep cleansing their faces for over two minutes, making sure the substance has time to get into the skin and clean it thoroughly before rinsing and patting dry. The Facial Cleansing Brush gives you a whole minute back, as the rapid action brush offers a brisk yet thorough face wash for just 60 seconds. Not only does the sonic brush cleanse your face in rapid time, but it also makes your evening routine quicker too. You can choose between 5 vibration settings, giving your skin the deep clean it deserves. The lovely silicone bristles will also have you feel refreshed before you head out for the day.

Tip 3. Pre-prepare Your Breakfast

Overnight oats are your best friend if you want to cut down on your breakfast preparation time. If, like many others, you consider your breakfast as the most important meal of the day and end up spending a lot of your morning routine cooking your breakfast, overnight oats are prepared in the evening. Simply throw in some bananas, blueberries, milk and other scrumptious foods to fill up a jar that you can leave in the fridge overnight, which will settle and be ready to eat straight away in the morning.

Tip 4. Try Showering at Night

If you are in the habit of showering in the morning, you could try switching it up, and having a shower of an evening, right before you go to bed, which could give you an extra twenty minutes snuggled up under your quilt. If you really can’t tear yourself away from showering in the mornings, then how do you speed up your morning routine? Try and take a lukewarm shower rather than a steaming hot one, as the hot sauna style shower will have you not wanting to get out! It’s not saying you need to take a cold shower, but one that is cool and will make you feel refreshed and awake, ready to face the day ahead.

Tip 5. Music!

Create a killer playlist to get you in the mood and feeling ready to take on the world!

So how long should your morning routine be? If you can get it down from 30 – 20 minutes with these tricks and tips, you are winning.
